 Story of Grace

 How to Contribute

Grace the Recovery Guitar was created in June 2007.  I was in Minneapolis to sing at a workshop and hated to fly with my guitar, but I was visiting my friend who usually has a guitar for me.  But this time she found out after I got there the person we were going to borrow the guitar from decided we couldn't use it.  So I ended up buying a new guitar at Target and I would use it as my "travel" guitar.  I thought it would be totally cool to collage the guitar but then I thought I had collaged a lot of my own stuff so it turned into Grace the Recovery Guitar.  A guitar full of other people's journeys and things that have helped them through their journey of recovery.

So if you are interested send a positive word, phrase, quote, picture that means something to you and your recovery.  It can be something you cut out of a magazine or you make yourself.  Be creative and use your voice the way you feel you want to use it.  Try to keep it somewhat small but big enough to read so we can fit a lot of people on there.  Send me an email and I will let you know where you can send your Grace note.

Grace is now housed at the Renfrew Center Florida where she can be played and read by patients and alumni.  Contributions are still welcome and encouraged!

Thanks for all your help and support!
